I have been down for the past weeks, trying to figure out new goals and objectives, and most of all trying to work on my self-esteem and self-confidence after some bad personal event. An event and its consequences that totally made my convictions about something I was fighting for since a year, collapse.
I guess it is always harder to follow a strong gut feeling when other persons are involved, but I did it and I was feeling complete, but within a second it was all destroyed. A full year of my life, driven by something I thought was worth my time and energy, and the result after all this time is: I was wrong!
We learn from our failures, and I have no regrets, but a bitter taste remains. I thought that event was only an obstacle and things could be sorted out, but I told you people were involved, and as it is impossible to communicate with walls, my obstacle became a dead end.
As questions are constantly invading my mind, I try to take a step back and stop thinking about the « what if? », as the priority is now me, my well-being, my happiness, my dreams and goals, my self-esteem and so on.
You may have all gone through this kind of situation when you question your worth, and getting back on track is a permanent emotional roller-coaster.
Some days you feel like you could eat the world, and some other days you feel like staying in bed, thinking about what has been lost. There is no magic formula to stay in a good mood, the key is to try.
Try to smile when you are feeling down, try to seem strong when you are feeling weak, try to appear exceptional when you feel unworthy. And eventually, time will help you make your attitude become your reality.
If you are facing failure, set new goals, and for what it is worth, success is not a motorway, but a winding track full of obstacles you need to cross, diversions and dangers. So you will fall eventually, but you will get back on your feet and find another way to keep going on this path.

I may not know what you went through but I do empathise. “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”, sometimes this saying couldn’t be more true! Be true to yourself and keep faith that things always get better in time.
Appreciate the recommendation. Let me try it out.
