How serious are you about your future?

In this article, I just plan to speak according to what I observe, how I feel, and what my guts tell me about this topic.

We all know a lot (yes, a lot) of people, constantly saying that they don’t like their current situation, their job, their relationships, etc. They complain, over and over again, wishing for abundance, money, a better lifestyle, the perfect relationship, the perfect body, but they just don’t do anything about it.

My question is: why do you keep complaining if your current situation is exactly what pleases you?

Of course, it pleases you because you are not trying to find ways to change it!

A good example to illustrate my point is the story of this girl I used to know (yeah, “used to”, you’ll understand why at the end of this article), she was the perfect example of the negative person. Being negative was her favourite hobby. She was complaining about everything, but her weight was what she talked most about. She showed me pictures of her 5 years before, when she was so thin and missing that time, and eventually she took a membership to the gym. A nice first step to get the body she wanted, but… after a 20 minutes workout, she was pretty satisfied with what she had done, so she rewarded herself by going to McDonald’s! Yup, right back to square one!!

I guess that now you see what I am talking about, people complain, people want change, but people find comfort in the situation they say they can’t bear!

I used to be pretty tolerant of people like this, giving them advice, even offering to help them.

But when one comes to you to complain, receive advice and tips, and keeps complaining because excuses were made and no action was taken, I have to say that my time is too precious to be wasted with people who don’t want to do anything to change their current situation.

So here is what I have to say: are you serious about changing your life?

Are you willing to do things you never did before to live the life or get the things you want?

If you answer “yes” to one of these questions, then I know that you can do great and take the first step to success in your life.

If you answer “no”, on the other hand, then stop complaining and enjoy your life the way it is and with a smile, because it is not going to change anytime soon!

We only have one life, and when older we want to say “I did the things I wanted and had to do, and I have no regrets”. It is never too late, now is the time, so stop making excuses and go live the life you were meant to live…

  1. Well spoken! I do share you’re point of view on this, no point in surrounding yourself with negative persons that will eventually only suck up your energy and do nothing for you in return. If the person is not willing to change whatever they say isn’t right for them, then there’s no point in trying to change that for them.
